Ironically, you consumed fossil fuel for 30 seconds.

Again and again those trying to fool you by using voltage as a measurement. Voltage says nothing, it is Watt per time unit that is "energy". But he has a point in that the difference between a hot side and a cold side could be used to produce energy (Stirling engines does as one example), and that we should continue to throw ideas to come up with *real* solutions. So the video is not bad except the "almost half a volt, not chavvy" ;-)

I think we will solve the energy crisis the only problem is most products use petrochemical based materials such as plastic, steel, glass and without oil to make these products how will any economy run?

It's very low power. I can make salt battery with simple salt water and different metal wires. I can also put them in series to pump the voltage up as high as I want, however, the power is so low because it depends on how many reaction occurs per second.

power is measured in watts...... I have no clue as to how much power is generated here.

This is the sort of stuff there doing on much larger scale in the Australian outback with "hot rocks". Lots of heat n sun down here, but coal and uranium pays the bills. doe!!! Fair Dinkum. A great Black Sabbath song comes to mind "KILLING YOURSELF TO LIVE" but with some there is hope through the smoke screen.

how scalable is this? Can an array be placed in a desert?
