The World Wide Web and the Internet are two totally different things. If you're curious to see how the Internet was invented, there are great, riveting videos that'll blow you away. The story behind the birth of the Internet is fascinating. Type Leonard Kleinrock into the YouTube search box and you'll find the videos. And don't be scared when you hear the words "packet switching"...Kleinrock does a wonderful job of explaining complex things that a dumb ditch digger like me can understand.

They should rather call it slow burst, I am so angry at Slumcast. I am mad about there abuse of there customers by throttling bandwidth ,long lengths of repeated unexplained outages..limiting were we go on the internet, and monitoring our surfing and selling out information to 3rd parties so they can send ads to us.The service is so way way over priced..I refuse to pay for crappy service. Just remember..It' Slumcastic! I got a DSL anyways.

6 companies control the message for the radio and television industry. Already your local radio station is owned by a corporation that has interests in China, Australia, and London. The primary motive of these stations is keeping the stockholder happy. This is done by making the message mediocre, no scream is heard from the man who is dying in the hood it just doesn't sale.

Coming soon: BRANDED INTERNET. For example, though "AT&T" or "Comcast" may have a network in your neighborhood, soon you will enjoy choice of branded internet from a different company through their network...just like IPTV. The biggest obstacle is getting our local networks built BIG enough to deal with the bandwidth. It needs to happen FAST. Big questions...How to get it done?...Who PAYS to build it? If Gov't gets involved...FEES FOR ALL on internet bill...constant bickering...slow build.
