they ARE almost the same thing, except that one is "recorded" for technical reasons, which is irrelevant.
and "auditing" is "directed" making it MUCH more powerful, since it addresses things that the person may be suppressing, or simply forgotten.
and by so doing, it gives him the opportunity to dismantle whatever negative effects there may be from it.
