I was just thinking about this and whether the license fee could be ditched in favour of a BBC funded by advertising revenue. I don't think there'd be much of a qualitative difference in programming as of now, but the potential for the BBC being a 'public service' alternative would be lost.

public is for the public paid for by taxes, commercial is payed for by commercial ads by private companies.

ContraWagner I want you to know this: in order to hear Chomsky I actually had to take out my old desktop speakers, plug them into my laptop, turn the volume on full blast (both in hardware and software) and then hold the speakers up to my ears. I am not deaf. This is how a normal person listens to your video. It's very interesting, but don't you think you could make an effort to turn up the volume next time, huh? Please?

Good video. Anyway to put the volume up louder? I also have one other question. Why am I unable to post a reply to someone's comment? If I hit "Reply", and write a reply, my comment does not appear underneath like it should. Also, why does my comment not appear until I refresh my browser? I am using Firefox, if that is relevant in this case.

I gotta tell u, I really assumed u were an extreme rightwinger fanatic making sarcastic remarks. I think volantare did too, based on his replies. Then when I checked your channel, those favs just don't really fit the fascist picture. If u mean litteraly the stuff u wrote here, I take my comment back the way it's written here. But, help me here, do u SERIOUSLY think Pravda was the real truth?
